I watched the Mulberry show from the sanctuary of my own bed (it's Sunday guys, and I'm not cool enough to attend fash week. Bed is my home.) and was overjoyed at the sight of the poodle on the runway. Yes, that was the highlight for me. Dogs win everything.
Enough dogs, Felicity. On to the clothes. Lots of positively luscious looking leather, bell sleeves, structured shoulders and some cheeky skirt over trousers action.
The pair of trousers in the last photo made me slobber with their iridescent mermaidy goodness. Imagine them with a pair of stiletto sandles, a simple white tee, a statement necklace and a ridiculous pair of sunglasses. Meow.
I'm not sure how I feel about skirts over trousers (although the cream outfit is pretty chic). I remember a pair of black polyester skirt trousers I had from Tammy Girl in their late nineties heyday (worn with a lemon coloured, quarter sleeved crop top and chunky denim mules with purple flowers on them - oh the horror.). It's going to take a whole lot of Susie Bubble to make me appreciate that trend again.

I think I had the skirt/trouser number from Tammy Girl that you're talking about - wow! I'm so with you on those trousers in the last photo they are mermaid heaven, well done Mulberry! X
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm pretty sure I had lilac skirt trousers but I'd erased them from my memory until a couple of seconds ago - Tammy Girl had a lot to answer for (although they did give me my beloved forest green cord flares) x Becky
