MONDAY MUGSHOT #14

I more or less had a completely free day today, so I went for a long walk in the snow earlier (I may have also accidentally wandered into Boots and even more accidentally picked things I don't need up and taken them to the till - oh, hello, new Soap & Glory lipstick - but shh, don't tell anyone.) and then had a big old bath this afternoon, which was beyond lush.  I think reading in the bath is my favourite hobby.  I started reading Brick Lane by Monica Ali, which so far is brilliant - unlike The Time Traveller's Wife, which I started last night and gave up on after page 49.  So what if the dude can time travel, the characters were so dull that frankly I didn't care what happened to them!

Today I saw a boy (about 15?) wearing a tiger onesie, with black boxer shorts and a denim jacket over the top.  He also had on white knee high football socks.  There are times when you should embrace who you are and then there are times when you need to just go back to bed and start the day over.

Oh I always accidentally walk into Boots and accidentally buy stuff too so don't worry ^_^
He obviously thought today was the day to embrace himself... I would have stayed in bed.

  2. Ahhh yes finally somebody who didn't appreciate The Time Traveller's Wife either. I could have dealt with it just as a chick lit but everyone seemed to think it was a new literary classic? No, just no. xx

    1. Right? It's no way good enough to be a classic - I feel I should read it all the way through, just so I can fully slag it off! Haha x

  5. I think it must be a trend because my 15 year old brother went sledging with his friends yesterday wearing about 3 layers of clothes with his onesie and coat over the top. He looked like a fool! The kids in our village go to the shop in their pyjamas all the time, I don't think I'd dare for fear of judgement!! xo

    1. To be fair, if I could I would totally wear my pyjamas everywhere, but it is sort of frowned upon in a 25 year old woman I think! Haha x

  8. I love free days. I often find myself wandering into boots not particularly needing anything but coming out with something pretty anyway! Good times!
